I'm Ryan Best, a Visual Journalist and Graphics Developer.

I use technology and design to make data visual, beautiful, and intuitive. I design and build data visualizations that help us tell stories, understand complex information and make informed decisions. I'm a self-taught coder in JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Python, Ruby and other technologies.

I'm currently a Senior Graphics Developer at The Athletic. I've also had stints at FiveThirtyEight, The Associated Press, Bloomberg Graphics and Parsons.

I live in Brooklyn and enjoy watching soccer (especially the Premier League), biking and record collecting.
